This book is not just an individual endeavor but a collaborative and unifying project. Jacky's intention was never to write a memoir but to foster a sense of community. Over three years, he collaborated with numerous influential setters of the time. The book features essays contributed by prominent setters like Reini Fichtinger, Louie Anderson, Adam Pustelnik, Jan Zbranek, Simon Margon, Chris Danielson, Laurent Laporte, and Percy Bishton, each offering insights and perspectives on the art of route setting. The stunning photographs were contributed from across the globe, captured by individuals deeply connected to the climbing world, including professional photographers like Eddy Fowke, Heiko Wilhelm, and Marc Daviet. The graphic design, a crucial element, was entrusted to the skilled hands of Tondé Katiyo, a fellow setter, who used his understanding of route setting and Jacky's work to develop a layout that expresses the ever-changeable yet creative nature of this craft.
